Simply navigate to the Settings tab, then General, and finally Usage. It is here that you can turn the feature off. Regarding copy and paste, its simple on an iPad. Start by tapping and holding down, and then choose Select to highlight the portion of text that needs to be copied. Tap Copy, go to another app, and then tap and hold down again. When the menu appears, tap Paste. For selecting a paragraph, you must tap four times.

If you want nip the theft problem in the bud and you would rather not insure your iPad you can add extra security to your iPad. The first is built into your device in the settings tab. If you want further security you can download a variety of free or paid apps that will add extra layers of protection to your iPad.  Too many to list here so take a look for yourself.  Also, if you think a four-digit passcode is not substantial enough for you, change it. Under the Settings menu, navigate to General and then to Passcode Lock. Disable the Simple Passcode option. This allows you to use any password to lock and unlock your device. Your email and attachments will also be more secure with a more complex passcode.

Do you want your emails to stop saying at the end that they were sent from your iPad? That is actually an email signature, and you can change it to anything you want. Go to your Mail section under your Settings. Then select Calendars under Contacts and use the Signature setting.

Don’t waste your money on expensive bluetooth keyboards! A wireless Apple keyboard will work perfectly with an iPad. In fact, even a cheap bluetooth keyboard from a discount store will work. You can find cases with built-in keyboards, too, which make toting it around with you super easy while protecting your tablet.

Your iPad will automatically retrieve emails from your various email accounts, and this is quite convenient. To improve your battery life however, set your iPad to retrieve your emails a minimum amount of times. Unless you need access to your emails immediately, this can be a great way to increase the amount of time you will be able to use your iPad before it becomes necessary to plug it in.
